Max Verstappen is 'getting tired' seeing Lewis Hamilton creep into the underdog position

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton can be considered as arch-rivals on and off the grid considering their fight for the title.

However, Verstappen has revealed that he is getting tired of Hamilton portraying himself to be an underdog.

This comes after Mercedes have held superior positions during several instances.

But for now, Red Bull has been dominating the grid including back in Baku, France, and now in Austria.

Hamilton needs a reality check

According to Max Verstappen, Hamilton needs to be made aware of the situation that actually exists.

“I am getting a little tired of Lewis always creeping into the underdog position,” he said.

“We drove in France with less wing (less downforce). Everyone could see that.

“Maybe Lewis should buy glasses,” Verstappen concluded.

The Dutchman scored a first-place podium finish in Austria this past weekend.

He wanted to score a victory at the Red Bull’s home circuit and he did exactly that.

Verstappen’s current points add up to 156 placing him at the top, while Hamilton is at 138.

In around a week, the second race of the Austria series and the ninth race of the season will take place.

We can only wait and see who comes out on the top.
