Albon is a racing driver by profession, and has competed under various promotions. He is best known for his time in Formula 1, where he raced for Scuderia Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing.
The Thai-British driver started his career in F1 with Scuderia Toro Rosso. A string of impressive performances saw him get promoted to Red Bull mid-season. He impressed the higher-ups enough to stay for another season, but his regression saw him being replaced for the 2021 season.
He currently races in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, and also serves as Red Bull’s reserve driver. The Twitch Quartet member will be joining Williams Racing at the start of the 2022 season.
Early life and career of Alex Albon
Albon was born in London, to Nigel Albon and Kankamol. His father is a former racing driver who used to compete in the British Touring Car Championship and Prosche Carrera Cup. He has a younger brother and three sisters. He is a Buddhist, and resides in Monaco.
Albon grew up in Bures, Suffolk, and attended Ipswich School. His racing inspirations were Michael Schumacher and Valentino Rossi. It was because of his admiration for them that he decided to pursue racing as a career.
Albon began his racing career through the standard route of karting, at the age of eight. He competed in local championships and won a few. He went to win multiple levels of karting, and was one of the most consistent out of the crop. His exceptional performances saw him make the jump to Formula Renault 2.0.
Over there, he struggled as a reality check hit him. He also endured mixed fortunes at KTR. Although he claimed a pole position, race results rarely went in his favour.
Albon’s luck got better as he joined European Formula 3. He finished in seventh place, with two poles, five podiums and 187 points to his name. GP3 came calling, and Albon seized the opportunity with hands. Racing for ART, it was art from Albon, as he claimed four victories and finished in second place in the championship standings.
Alex Albon age and hot girlfriend
Born in 1996, Albon is currently 25 years old. He has got many years ahead of him in his racing career, and the setbacks he suffered in F1 should not be seen as career-ending. Although he is currently a reserve driver for Red Bull, his fortunes seem to have changed when Williams came knocking.
Williams offered the Thai a chance to race for them, replacing George Russell. This means that Albon will be back in F1 after a year on the sidelines. He will partner Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi, and will look to prove to everyone that he was not a one-season wonder.
Williams are a team that is slowly and steadily trying to get back to the days of old. Although it is unreasonable to think he will get them back to challenging for championships, Albon in the team is a long-term project that could yield results.
With age on his side and approaching the prime of his career, the Thai could be inching towards making a triumphant return, and to silence those who doubted him. Williams will have no problem extending his contract if he performs well too.
The 25-year-old is also in a loving relationship with professional golfer ‘Lily’ Muni He. Muni He is 22 years old, and plays on the USA-based LPGA tour. She is Chinese by birth and descent, and majored in communications at the University of Southern California. She is Buddhist like Albon.
When quizzed about her relationship, she said, “When we first met, I had more followers than him. Just seeing his growth, I’m so happy for him. It’s really incredible.
We met because, this is going to sound extremely bizarre, but it makes me feel like the world is so small after all. Back in 2019 I was in a slump. I was in a really bad place mentally. It was my rookie year and I wasn’t playing well at all.
“This was before I saw Lynn (Marriott) and Pia (Nilsson). A friend of mine convinced me to watch a (Formula One) documentary on Netflix called ‘Drive to Survive’.
“So I watched the whole entire season in one day. I know as bizarre as this might sound, it got me really motivated in golf instantly.
“I started following (Albon) and really didn’t think that much of it. He said he had a pretty small following. We started talking on the phone. We were both rookies in 2019 and I thought that was extremely cool.
“Eventually he had an event in the States and afterwards, he and his friend took a little break in LA and that’s how we properly met for the first time.”
Muni He has endorsements with sports giants Nike and Chinese communications app WeChat, a WhatsApp-based messaging application that allows users to do pretty much everything its American counterpart has to offer.
