Angel Di Maria puts himself in Cristiano Ronaldo’s boots – “Must’ve wanted to kill himself”

Paris Saint-Germain player Angel Di Maria has predicted Cristiano Ronaldo’s feelings this season.

Di Maria has had a great few months. First he won the Copa America and starred in the final against Brazil, scoring a banger. Now, as he prepared for the new season, his team have signed Barcelona superstar and fellow countryman Lionel Messi.

With PSG the home for Di Maria, Messi. Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappe and other world-class players, it seems like a dream team, like the Galacticos of old. Di Maria, a former Real Madrid player, has spoken about a previous teammate of his in Ronaldo, and has predicted how he must be feeling right now.

Di Maria assumes Ronaldo must be eager to join PSG, given the wealth of options the French giants have at their disposal. He suggested that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner must have dreamed of it at some point.

“Cristiano must want to kill himself for not being here,” the Argentinian winger said. “The quality and quantity of players that PSG now has is something unique.”

Ronaldo has been linked with an exit from Juventus for a while now. However, no move has taken shape, and the Portuguese forward has returned to training.

With PSG assembling what can only be described as a FIFA Ultimate Team, fans must be dreaming of Ronaldo joining PSG to complete THE definitive team in football history. However, it is only a pipe dream as of now.

Gods among us

Meanwhile, Di Maria spoke of his new teammate in Paris, Lionel Messi. He praised the little magician and hailed him as a supernatural player.

“He’s from another world. You throw a rock at him and he manages to subdue it,” Di Maria said.

“I played with Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbappé, Rooney, Van Persie, Benzema, Ibrahimovic, Bale, but I’ve never seen anything like it. Messi is unique,” the 33-year-old concluded.

We can’t wait to see how PSG performs next season, with the still-unbelievable team they have got. One cannot even imagine it with CR7 in its ranks.
