Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc mercilessly troll Lando Norris on social media

Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc have trolled Lando Norris on social media and had some fun at his expense.

Norris had a terrible Hungarian Grand Prix, and couldn’t even make it to the restart. He took significant damage from the carnage that happened on Lap 1, which effectively ended his race.

Meanwhile, Leclerc was also among the casualties in Hungary. Like Norris, he too had to withdraw from the race. He was hugely frustrated with what had happen, and called it a “bowling game”.

Norris took to Instagram and used Leclerc’s quote on his post. It immediately gained the attention of people, including that of Sainz. Sainz was Norris’ teammate last season, and could not resist trolling his friend.

“Ït’s BwOKen,” Sainz commented. It was a reference to Norris’ infamous radio comment after he retired at Spa in 2019. It was a last lap retirement, and he was clearly infuriated about it at the time. That’s what made Sainz’s comment funnier, and the fact that he remembered shows what a great friend (and genius) he is.

McLaren’s social media took notice of their former driver’s comment, and jumped in on the fun. Leclerc also joined the party, sending bowling emojis as a reply. The Monegasque driver referred to his own comments after the race, which Norris used on his post.

No luck

Norris had the chance to secure more points for McLaren in their intense battle with Ferrari. He got off to a flying start by overtaking Valtteri Bottas. Unfortunately, Bottas collided into his car, sending him spinning and colliding with others.

Norris managed to avoid more damage, but by then, it was too late. He somehow got control of his car and went to the pits to fix the issues. Sadly for him, there was significant damage, and he had to retire.

Norris, along with Leclerc and Sainz, will look to push harder at the Belgian Grand Prix. Hopefully, the entire race is clean and every driver can race to their best abilities.
