Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has slammed the media for speculating about his future.

There have been a number of reports lately linking Ronaldo to various clubs. The Portuguese frontman has been linked with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid lately. This has made the five-time Ballon d’Or winner unhappy, and he has taken to Instagram to call out these people.

Ronaldo, sharing a picture of himself on Instagram, posted a caption. The caption slammed the media for speculating about his future.

“In view of everything that’s been said and written recently, I have to set out my position,” Ronaldo wrote.

“More than the disrespect for me as a man and as a player, the frivolous way that my future is covered in the media is disrespectful to all the clubs involved in these rumours, as well as to their players and staff.

“My story at Real Madrid has been written. I know that the true Real Madrid fans will continue to have me in their hearts, and I will have them in mine.

“As well as this most recent episode in Spain, there have been frequent news and stories associating me with a number of clubs in many different Leagues, with nobody ever being concerned about trying to find out the actual truth.

“I’m breaking my silence now to say that I can’t allow people to keep playing around with my name. I remain focused on my career and in my work, committed and prepared for all the challenges that I have to face. Everything else? Everything else is just talk,” he concluded.

Staying for now

Even though Juventus have not been contacted by any clubs for Ronaldo, the speculations continue to rise. This has been in light of Juventus’ embarrassing Champions League exit at the hands of Porto. They were also pipped to the Serie A by rivals Inter Milan, leaving Ronaldo frustrated.

However, Ronaldo remains committed to Juventus for now, both in training and through his message. We will have to wait and see if he actually makes a move before the transfer window closes.
