Darren Till is a professional mixed martial artist and a former Muay Thai kickboxer. He is currently signed to the UFC, where he competes in the middleweight division. Till was born in Liverpool, England. He was a hothead in his youth, and frequently picked fights when he was young. His first fight came against Wendell de Oliviera, which he won decisively via TKO in the second round. His next match saw him fight to a stalemate, meaning he picked up the first draw in his record.
At a total of 17-0, Till challenged former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Heading into the match, Till was full of confidence. However, he ended up losing the match and losing his first fight in the UFC when Woodley delivered a stiff right hand and locked him in a D’arce choke. The move resulted in a victory via submission for Woodley, and a first MMA defeat for Till.
Till also fought Jorge Masvidal before he made the jump to the middleweight division. There, he fought Kelvin Gastelum and Robert Whittaker, which he won and lost respectively.
