According to The Sports Daily, Till has earned approximately $913,000 in his career so far. On his debut against Wendall de Oliviera, Till won by knockout, and took home $20,000 after his victory. His last fight against Robert Whittaker saw his earn $135,000 despite losing the fight. His biggest purse came at UFC 244, where he made his middleweight debut. He fought Kelvin Gastelum and won by via split decision. He took home a staggering $245,000 for his fight.

Personal life

Till was born in Liverpool, England. He was a hothead in his youth, and frequently picked fights when he was young. He started training in Muay Thai at the age of 12, and dropped out of school at 14 to focus on his fighting. A year later, he became a professional and started training in MMA at the age of 17.

In 2012, Till was stabbed with a knife during a party. The doctors revealed that the stab had missed his main artery by millimetres, and that he was lucky to be alive and breathing. He moved to Brazil to avoid such altercations, and to focus on his training.

Till has three daughters. He sports a tattoo on his left arm of his child’s mother. He also has one on his neck containing his sister’s name, Caitlin.

Till is a fan of his hometown football club Liverpool FC. In April of 2019, Till was reported to have been arrested in the Canary Islands. The accusation against him was allegedly him trashing and damaging hotel room after he was asked to leave. He was also charged with stealing a taxi and driving it when the driver of the taxi was loading his luggage into the trunk of the car. He was found guilty of the charges along with four other people, and charged under damage and unauthorised use of a vehicle. For his misdeeds, he was fined approximately £10,000.

UFC career

Till’s perfect 12-0 record until 2015 caught the attention of the UFC. The company contacted him regrading a deal. Till accepted the offer, and signed with the company. His first fight came against Wendell de Oliviera, which he won decisively via TKO in the second round. His next match saw him fight to a stalemate, meaning he picked up the first draw in his record.

At a total of 17-0, Till challenged former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Heading into the match, Till was full of confidence. However, he ended up losing the match and losing his first fight in the UFC when Woodley delivered a stiff right hand and locked him in a D’arce choke. The move resulted in a victory via submission for Woodley, and a first MMA defeat for Till.

Till also fought Jorge Masvidal before he made the jump to the middleweight division. There, he fought Kelvin Gastelum and Robert Whittaker, which he won and lost respectively.

Till holds a great record of 18-1-4 during his time in MMA competitions. He also holds numerous accolades to his name. He won two Fight of the Night bonuses with Jorge Masvidal and Nicolas Dalby. In addition to that, he won the accolade of Performance of the Night Bonus, when he fought against Doanld Cerrone.
