Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, also known as ‘DrDisRespect,’ is a popular American Internet celebrity and online streamer. He currently streams on his YouTube channel.
Beahm streams a variety of games, including Fortnite, H1Z1, Black Ops 4: Blackout, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Apex Legends.
Early life
‘DrDisRespect’ was born in California on March 10, 1982.
He posted his first video on January 11, 2010, which showed the gameplay from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He appeared in several videos for the gaming channel Machinima, mostly while playing Call of Duty.
Beahm stopped uploading to YouTube in late 2011 and was inactive for nearly five years.
Career
Beahm began working as a community manager for ‘Sledgehammer Games’ in March 2011. Beahm created his Dr. DisRespect persona around this time while playing ‘Halo 2’ on Xbox.
Following that, his videos such as ‘Dr. DisRespect: The Theater Realm’ series and ‘Dr. DisRespect Gaming: Bleeding Scar-H EP1′ catapulted him to prominence in the game streaming community. Fans took a liking towards him for his amusing, boastful, and over-the-top commentary.
DrDisrespect was also promoted to Multiplayer Level Designer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare by Sledgehammer Games in 2012. He created multiplayer maps such as Quarantine, Horizon, and Slideshow, among others.
Creating some of the most admired maps for such a well-known game was an incredible achievement.
His YouTube channel has over 3 million subscribers and more than 259 million views.
