eMax coins approved as a payment method for tickets to the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather bout

Logan Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, will face pound-for-pound legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout next month.

The boxing match is set to take place on June 6, 2021, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

EthereumMax approved as a payment method

Earlier on Sunday, cryptocurrency EthereumMax announced on Twitter that tickets for the Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather fight could be bought with eMax coins. As a result, they will be the first cryptocurrency to be approved for ticket sales at a major combat case.

EthereumMax, also known as eMax, is an extension of the Ethereum blockchain. The ERC20 token, with a total supply of 2 quadrillion $eMax, was recently introduced.

Although it seemed to be a lucrative deal for those who had invested in cryptocurrencies, some followers questioned the claim’s validity.

They were sceptical that EthereumMax was working with Paul, Mayweather, or the promotional website Fanmio, which is distributing the pay-per-view outside of the United States.

EthereumMax attempted to persuade their supporters that this was not fake news, and that full press releases and more details would be released in the coming days. They also mentioned that they were in touch with Fanmio on the same matter.

Fanmio clears its stance

Fanmio initially replied under the tweet that it was not genuine. They were able to correct the mistake, however, and tweeted on their official account that EthereumMax was a legitimate currency-holder for the Paul vs. Mayweather fight.

“After further investigation, we have determined that Mayweatherpaultickets.com will be offering tickets to the event at Hard Rock Stadium and will be accepting EthereumMax as a form of payment,” Fanmio wrote.

The website mayweatherpaultickets.com, which was listed in the EthereumMax poster, also states on its home page that they “proudly recognise EthereumMax” as a currency. On the website, a countdown clock has been set in motion, indicating that the online sale of tickets will begin on May 26, 2021, at 10 p.m. EST.

With just 13 days until the fight, Fanmio has already begun selling pay-per-view tickets for the event. The order costs $49.99 and includes a general admission ticket as well as a special and exclusive Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul war t-shirt.

Twenty lucky winners will be able to engage in a video meet-and-greet with the two fighters, and five lucky winners will receive signed boxing gloves from each.
