F1 bosses are reportedly angry with rapper Megan Thee Stallion after the Martin Brundle controversy that took place at the US GP.

The American ignored the F1 pundit after he asked her for her comments live. This went viral on social media and mainstream news, and her actions drew the ire of F1 fans.

Brundle was doing his traditional and much-loved gridwalk at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. He saw the 26-year-old approach, and decided to pose a question to her.

The former driver approached Megan and asked, “You are a freestyle rapper, have you got any rap for us today on Formula One?”

A hesitant Megan nervously chuckled and replied, “I have no rap today, I’m sorry.”

“Who are you supporting in the race?” Brundle asked, before being unceremoniously pushed aside by the rapper’s security team.  He was told that he couldn’t approach their client, to which a visibly angry Brundle replied, “I can do that, because I did.”

F1 bosses were reportedly angry with Megan after what happened with Brundle, and were not impressed with the disrespect shown to him. Fans were quick to voice their support for the F1 figure, and called Megan and her entourage disrespectful.

Bad to worse

F1 fans and higher-ups had more reason to be annoyed with Megan. She was walking around the grid in a black outfit, which was a blatant advertisement for Cash App, a mobile payment service. This incensed those in charge, as she essentially violated the championship’s ‘no-sponsor rule’.

Social media heated up in their disapproval of Megan’s actions and appearance, with many suggesting that she was there for good PR and not because of any interest in F1.

Those worries came true as the Mail reported her exit from COTA five minutes after the race began. It was a fiasco from all angles, and we haven’t heard the last of it.
