F1 drivers often make a statement on the track with some breathtaking, adrenaline-infusing action behind the wheels. Given the huge celebrity status they obtain through their exploits in the sport, many of them are also conscious of their demeanour off the track.
Lewis Hamilton has been known to be a keen follower of fashion and has even hinted at pursuing a career in the industry after calling it time as an F1 driver.
However, according to former world champion Jenson Button, who was also Hamilton’s teammate in the sport, Hamilton is not the most fashionable driver off the track.
A lightning Q & A round sponsored by Sky Sports saw Button reveal some of his unconventional choices.
For button, Pierre Gasly takes the top spot amongst the most stylish drivers off the track.
It is a common sight now to see Hamilton arriving at various race venues in unique clothes. The British driver does not leave a chance when it comes to showing off his taste and has often made headlines with the choice of apparel he wears.
Button sides with Gasly over Hamilton
Button, though, seems like a person who prefers more simplicity.
“Pierre Gasly is quite cool. I kinda like his style. Mixing it up, bringing in the rain jackets now again. Yeah, probably him,” said Jenson.
Don’t expect this to deter Hamilton from sporting some more eye-catching outfits as the Mercedes ace is set to grace the shores of Melbourne this week for the Australian Grand Prix.
Hamilton, who has various sponsorship deals with fashion conglomerates around the world, is also a regular attendee at the Paris fashion week and the Met Gala.
