Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is hopeful that the release of his upcoming documentary on Apple TV+ will have a “positive impact” on viewers.

Apple TV+ has confirmed that the project is underway, but the title and premiere date is yet to be announced.

It was announced on Monday by Apple TV+ that it will launch a feature on the groundbreaking success that Lewis Hamilton has achieved in F1.

Hamilton has broken a number of records and social stigmas to become one of the most successful drivers in the history of the sport.

A number of guest interviews are also expected in the documentary as it looks to explore the life of Hamilton both on and off the track.

Interestingly, Hamilton’s F1 rival Max Verstappen also tied up with Canal+ for a documentary showcasing his life.

Motorsport Week has reported that Hamilton has high hopes for the documentary and feels “there are stories that need to be told” from his life.

“The documentary is the current focus. I think stories are there to be told. I think it’s important. People have a lot to learn,” Hamilton said.

“And as I mentioned, for people, if you can affect and have a positive impact, if your story can have one positive impact even on one person or one family, that could be amazing.”

Hamilton has spoken in the past about the potential of a movie that encompasses his entire journey from being a rookie to the most marketable face in the sport.

The seven-time world champion confirmed that he is “going through a process right now of castings for another project that I have”.
