Sir Lewis Hamilton penned an emotional tribute to the late Sir Frank Williams after he passed away peacefully on Friday.
F1 lost one of the most influential people in its history when Williams departed for his heavenly abode. He was admitted into hospital for his health issues, but unfortunately couldn’t beat death like he had done before.
Tributes poured in from the paddock and from the rest of the world after news of Williams’ passing was announced. Among those who honoured the departed legend was the seven-time world champion.
Hamilton penned an emotional tribute to Frank Williams, and hailed him for the impact he had on his life as a mentor and a friend.
“Sir Frank Williams was one of the kindest people I had the pleasure of meeting in this sport, always had time for me and always without judgment,” he wrote on his social media accounts.
“I feel so honoured to have called him a friend. What he achieved in this sport is something truly special.
