Horner reveals unique church-related plan to tackle “random” end to season

Christian Horner has revealed his plan to tackle the “random” end to the season, saying his team will probably seek some divine intervention.

As the 2021 season nears its end, everything is still up for grabs. Red Bull leads the Drivers’ Championship through their driver Max Verstappen. However, their rivals Mercedes lead them in the Constructors’ Championship.

There are six races left to go, and the glory can swing either way. Horner revealed his plan to tackle the “random” end to the season. He also said that it may take some supernatural effort to get the job done.

“We go to church every other Sunday and see what happens,” the Red Bull Team Principal, as quoted by GP Fans.

“We will do our simulation, do our homework and we will do the best job that we can. We will do as much research as we can into the venues and go from there. We have got to take it one race at a time.

“We have maximised points at tracks that Mercedes have been incredibly strong at, the last three venues, so that has been a positive.”

Wild season

The 2021 season has been a rollercoaster, and easily the best season in recent memory. So far, we have seen four different teams win a race, and five separate drivers clinch pole position.

It has been an exceptional season to watch no matter which team you support, and Horner concurred with that sentiment.

“I think one of the great things of the season has been the variance of winners that we have had,” he added.

“It seems a shame to change it for next year really. There is probably going to be some random effects coming up.

“Again, engine penalties can play a role, will play a role at future races and weather can be a key factor as well. It is going to be fascinating to see how it all pans out over the next two months,” he concluded.
