While some time has passed since legendary F1 driver Michael Schumacher suffered a near-fatal skiing accident in December 2013, his health is kept highly confidential.
There are only a few select people who are allowed to visit Schumacher at his family home in geneva, where he is under intensive care.
A total of 25 doctors and attendants take care of one of the most iconic names in F1 to ensure he gets the best treatment available, but as Vettel confirmed recently, “things are not so good“.
The ‘inner circle’ that is allowed to visit Schumacher is very selective, but a new name has been added to the list of people who can visit him and check on his progress.
Strict protocol is followed at the residence, which is taken care by Schumacher’s wife Corinna, who resides there with their children.
The name of Danish model Laila Hasanovic has been included amongst the members who are allowed to visit Schumacher. Laila is reportedly the girlfriend of Mick, son of Michael who was most recently seen driving for Haas in F1.
Mick and Laila have reportedly been together since last August and the fact that things are getting serious between them means that she has been granted access to meet his ailing father.
This comes after the couple have displayed how committed they are to each other via social media, regularly sharing pictures of the various places they travel to.
Following the tenth anniversary of Michael’s tragic accident, the list was amended to include Laila’s name.
While scare resources are available to understand the true extent of Schumacher’s recovery, an article in Bild has detailed how the family tries to ensure the best treatment.
Ralf Schumacher, brother of Michael and also a former F1 driver, recently told Bunte: “Unfortunately, sometimes life isn’t fair. We have to accept it.”
Michael is going through a tough time, but the solidarity shown by his family in ensuring he gets the best possible treatment keeps fans hoping for a miraculous recovery.
