Lewis Hamilton and his long-term assistant and confidante Angela Cullen may well have split up earlier this year, but the two still enjoy a healthy relationship.
In fact, even Hamilton’s new business venture, the ‘new chapter’ in his life, has a link with Cullen, who herself spoke about how she is excited about the endless possibilities it can offer.
Hamilton launched ‘the world’s first and only non-alcoholic spirit created from real blue agave’ to embody his own decision to stay away from any form of intoxication.
This is something that both Hamilton and Cullen have spoken about many times in the past and the seven-time world champion may well have combined with one of his closest friends to deliver this beverage.
The beverage, called Almave, is a tribute to the healthy, natural lifestyle that Cullen instilled in Hamilton.
In fact, Cullen herself may have given a significant hint about this business venture earlier this year.
When the duo parted ways earlier in March, rather than being disgruntled, Cullen wrote a heartwarming message paying tribute to her time with Hamilton, wishing him future success.
“It’s been such an honour and pleasure to stand along side you I’m so proud of you and everything you have achieved,” she wrote.
“Thank you for supporting me, believing in me and showing me the limitless potential we all have within us.”
Additionally, she wrote: “I am so excited to watch the next chapter for you. There’s nothing you can’t do.”
This may well have been in reference to Almave and it may well have resulted from a brainstorming session the two did, given that Hamilton at one point confessed that they spent so much time with each other that they were ‘practically living together’.
It is, therefore, completely possible that she was a part of the process that led to the birth of this drink.
Hamilton has already delved into other business ventures and has shown a penchant for finding success off the track as well.
He owns a clothing line in conjunction with Tommy Hilfiger as well as a vegan fast-food chain called Neat Burger.
Neat Burger has reportedly reached a valuation in excess of $100 million following a round of financing.
As far as Almave is concerned, it is highly likely that this beverage, which has created a category of its own, will also prove to be a game-changer for Hamilton.
Speaking about it, Hamilton professed the value of having a balanced lifestyle.
“Almave adapts time-honoured tequila-making practices to create a non-alc spirit that doesn’t compromise on taste or quality,” he wrote on Instagram.
