Lando Norris is all set to relocate from England to Monaco, taking a big step in his personal life.
Everyone dreams of starting their own life in whatever way they deem fit. For the McLaren driver, it is moving from his birthplace to the urban paradise in Monaco.
With Norris recently signing a multi-year deal with McLaren, his immediate future in F1 is secured. It is thus an ideal time for him to make the move to a different country.
Many of his F1 peers also reside in Monaco, including teammate Daniel Ricciardo and countryman Lewis Hamilton. It is an ideal hotspot for the well-off, and a very happening place.
Norris is set to relocate from England to Monaco, and has shut down criticism directed towards his decision.
“It’s something that obviously a lot of drivers do,” he told the media, as quoted by Reuters.
“Especially, with how racing is, we’ve seen for other drivers how quickly things can also go downhill. I still have to look after my life and things for my future.”
No time for negativity
When asked if the move was a bit premature for someone his age, Norris replied saying that he does what’s best for him and what’s enjoyable.
“But people do many things in life for money. This is just another one,” he explained.
“I don’t want to do my job in Formula One and not enjoy the things around it.
“I said many times that for me, fun and enjoyment, and enjoying what I’m doing, takes priority… so it’s not an easy decision. I just feel like I’m in a comfortable place to make this decision,” he concluded.
Norris did well at this season’s Monaco GP. He took a great podium and etched his name into the history books. Perhaps by living there, he could do even better next time.
