Simone Biles reveals she has spoken with Lewis Hamilton about her F1 desire

Formula One’s popularity in the United States is certainly increasing. And it appears that Simone Biles, possibly the greatest gymnast of all time, wants to join in on the fun.

The 24-year-old recently used social media to communicate with her admirers. When asked about Formula One, Biles claimed that she is in contact with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to see if she can attend a race.

Simone Biles admits to being in touch with Lewis Hamilton

At an after-party following the Met Gala last month, the four-time Olympic gold medallist met Hamilton.

Biles was fresh off winning two gold following a difficult Tokyo Olympics, while the Briton was coming off a serious crash with title challenger Max Verstappen in the Italian Grand Prix.

Biles answered numerous questions from her followers during a live session on Instagram. One of them inquired if she watched Formula One, to which she said that she did not. That didn’t stop her from expressing her desire to see a race one day.

As a result, she disclosed that she is in contact with Hamilton in order to make it happen.

“Lewis is great, and I want to go out to one of his races. So, I’ve been talking to him about that. I really wanted to go to the one in Austin, but unfortunately, I’m on tour.

“But, I do wish I could go to one of his races,” she said.

Despite the fact that Biles was unable to attend the latest US Grand Prix owing to her ‘Gold Over America’ Tour, she admits to asking Hamilton for his itinerary in order to attend a race in the near future.

“Told him to send his schedule so we could see the next one,” said the 24-year-old.

“I mean, obviously they are all around the world so, I’m going to have to make a trip.”

On November 7, the next race in the ongoing Formula One season will take place in Mexico. While she accepts that she will need to travel to realize her desire, she believes it can be accomplished in as little as a week.

Her ‘Gold Over America’ Tour, on the other hand, wraps up just a day before the marathon. While this may cast doubt on Biles’ attendance for the Mexican Grand Prix, he is expected to return to the F1 paddock in the near future.
