Yuki Tsunoda working with psychologist to cope with anger issues – “He continued to rant in the corners”

Red Bull technical advisor Helmut Marko feels that AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda is the team’s “problem child” and has revealed that he has hired a psychologist to help him cope with his anger issues.

By now, it is common for F1 fans to have heard Tsunoda use a whole abusive language.

Tsunoda has put in a reasonable shift in 2022. In a car that is far from competitive, he has managed to score 11 points. His teammate Gasly has 16.

However, after colliding with Gasly at Silverstone, there would be considerable frustration in the AlphaTauri paddock.

In conversation with Servus TV, Marko explained where Tsunoda needs to improve.

He confessed that Tsunoda’s anger issue was hindering the speed at which he was racing.

“We have organised a kind of psychologist to work with him, because he continued to rant in the corners, so that inhibits performance,” Marko said.

“We should keep our emotions in check. Thank God Max is calm, our problem child in this respect, not only in this respect, is Tsunoda. He explodes on the radio, you wouldn’t believe it.”
