FaZe Banks is an American YouTuber, businessman, and pro-gamer who is one of the founders of the e-sports organisation FaZe Clan. The entrepreneur is currently residing in the FaZe House in Los Angeles, California, with other members of the organisation. He is also FaZe Clan’s Chief Operating Officer.
He is not currently uploading to his YouTube channel, but he is constantly working behind the scenes to build the clan by constantly recruiting talented people for the organisation.
Early life
On October 18, 1991, FaZe Bank, a.k.a. Richard Bengston, was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the United States. There is no information available about his parents or siblings. He is known to have spent the majority of his childhood in Lowell before moving to Florida.
He had been playing video games since he was a child, and by 2010, he had become addicted to them. Banks was raised in a Christian home. FaZe Banks went to Lowell High School and graduated in 2010. He decided to forego college to focus solely on his video-game career.
Professional career
FaZe Banks never took his future seriously when he was younger, and he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. All he did was play video games, and he is now the founder and CEO of FaZe Clan, an e-sports organisation that began as a gaming group in 2013.
At the time, he was residing in Miami. He is well-known in the Call of Duty community, and his clan members include FaZe Apex, FaZe Rug, Faze Adapt, and FaZe Rain. Banks launched his YouTube channel in 2011 under the name BankHasBank. He gradually grew after posting videos of Call of Duty gameplay.
After joining FaZe, Banks continued to upload Call of Duty and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive videos. He and other clan members moved into a house and began living together in 2017. He began vlogging with other clan members soon after moving in. Banks currently has over 5 million subscribers.
He has not uploaded any videos to his channel since 2019 and has shifted his focus to the development of Faze Clan. Banks also hosts a podcast with Keemstar called Colossal is Crazy.
