A strawweight bout between Angela Hill and Amanda Ribas was called off from the lineup after Ribas was tested COVID-19 positive. Ribas has reportedly tested positive for the second time.
“So, guys, as you can see, my hair was ready, I was ready, I came here with negative tests, and then I received the news that I have (tested positive),” Ribas said.
“I hope you guys can still send the vibes for me. Kisses!”
Angela posted over Instagram wishing her former opponent a speedy recovery.
The cancelled bout comes as the third fight to be cut off from the finalised UFC lineup.
Earlier, Philipe Lins was not medically cleared to compete after he fell ill on Friday. This led to his removal from the scrap he had with Ben Rothwell in the heavyweight division.
Another fight between Zarrukh Adashev and Ryan Benoit was called off as Benoit tripped off the scale which led him to get hospitalised.
These cancelled fights were in addition to the main event that was scheduled between former bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen. This was scrapped off about two weeks earlier.
