Last weekend’s co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Reyes vs Prochazka saw Giga Chikadze earn a first-round knockout victory over Cub Swanson. With this, he has now earned a 6-fight winning streak at the UFC’s featherweight division.
After the win, he has challenged Max Holloway or Calvin Kattar to a fight. Chikadze is even willing to fight Jeremy Stephens this month. He is targeting either the UFC Fight Night this weekend or UFC 262 on May 15.
John Morgan of MMA Junkie first reported this news to which Chikadze replied, “I want main event this weekend!”
Checked in with @giga_chikadze to see if he’s had success getting a fight yet. Team tells me they’re very interested in fighting Jeremy Stephens (@LiLHeathenMMA) either May 8 or May 15.

A fight between Chikadze and Stepehns will be quite the show.
Talking about their styles, where Chikadze is a technical brawler Stephens just likes to scrap. However, his knockout skills have quite the name for themselves.
But, there are certain complications to this fight. Stephens has left the division due to his recent failed weight cuts. He moved up a division after his failed weight cut in his last fight against Calvin Kattar.
He is now looking to establish a position in the lightweight division. He was supposed to fight against Drakkar Klose in a lightweight scrap. But, the fight was called off as Klose got injured during the weigh-in-face-off.
Chikadze seems to have made a good move by challenging an experienced campaigner like Stephens. He climbed up four places to the 10th spot in the UFC ranking. Whether he gets his wish fulfilled remains to be seen.
