The Golden State Warriors welcome back their newest forward/center to the team – Jordan Bell. Bell has signed a two-way contract with the team.
Originally selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 38th overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, Bell was first acquired by the Golden State Warriors on a draft-day trade in 2017.
His career averages are 3.7 PPG, 3.1 RPG, and 1.3 APG in 159 games over four seasons with the Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies, and Washington Wizards. Bell also has a championship to his name during his time with the Warriors.
Bell gets another shot
Bell, who had signed for the Wizards in December 2020, was let go the same day. He was subsequently added to the Erie BayHawks, a team in the NBA G-League.
However, it seems like Bell will be getting another shot as he signs a two-way deal with the Warriors on Thursday.
When asked whether the Warriors had informed him of his role, Bell had a hilarious answer.
“Get the ball to the light-skinned dude,” Bell said, in reference to Steph Curry.
Jokes aside, Bell will make a fine addition to the young Warriors team. He is an experienced player who knows the works of the team and may prove beneficial to the Warriors who will be fighting for a playoff spot.
