Khabib backs Poirier as he enters hilarious Twitter feud with McGregor

After Dustin Poirier, Khabib Nurmagodemov decided it was an opportune moment to take an indirect shot at Conor McGregor.

The shot was regarding Conor’s recent fight with Gregor Gillespie over the latter claiming to be the best fisherman in MMA to which ‘The Notorious’ replied in his typical style.

Khabib, the ‘Eagle’, is rarely seen taking part in Twitter banter. However, he didn’t miss the opportunity to take a dig at his former nemesis in his recent tweet. He mentioned his close friend and teammate Islam Makhachev.

Islam Makhachev had recently got a taste of victory after defeating Drew Dober during their fight at UFC 259.

Islam was scratched twice from his fights due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite their UFC bout about three years ago, their outrageous jibes at each other look far from coming to an end. Conor does not shy away from indirectly replying to Khabib which keeps their fans and followers quite engaged.

There is no chance of an ‘Eagle’ vs. ‘Notorious’ fight happening in the octagon again. The ‘Eagle’ has now retired undefeated while ‘Notorious’ is preparing for his trilogy at UFC 264 scheduled to be held on July 10.
