McLaren driver Lando Norris had tough luck during the British Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon after losing out on a podium opportunity.

The Brit was secured in third place through most of the race. However, a delayed pitstop meant that he lost the spot and with it, the chance to win a podium.

Through the entire season, Norris has shown incredible skill with his driving, bringing in crucial points for McLaren.

Norris clueless about his place

While other teams find it difficult to match pace with the Red Bulls and the Mercedes, the young driver faces them head-on.

His performance in Silverstone impressed his fans alike after he finished fourth.

“No idea how I’m still third in the world championship,” he said after the race.

Satisfied with the outcome

McLaren, overall, performed spectacularly after Norris’ teammate Daniel Ricciardo gave his best performance of this season yet.

The Australian finished just behind Lando to secure P5.

“I can’t be dissatisfied because P4 and P5 is a good result for us,” Norris said.

Pitstop woes

Norris did express disappointment regarding his delayed pitstop where he lost a lot of time and his chance of winning the podium.

“Of course I’m a bit frustrated,” he said.

“I don’t know if I would have finished P3, but I would have loved to have fought for third place in front of these fans,” he concluded.
