Lando Norris is slowly churning out to be a great driver during the current 2021 season of Formula 1 with his precise driving.
He is currently at the fourth place in the driver’s standings behind Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Sergio Pérez.
The McLaren driver, however, has praised Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.
What did Lando say?
“There are just different scenarios and situations where experience comes into play,” Norris stated to Sky Sports F1.
“You think ‘maybe he would have the upper hand on me in that scenario’ and I believe he is one of the best drivers ever in Formula 1.
“I think he has proven that since he joined when he was 16 or 17 years old,” he added.
Norris aiming for success
Norris also stated that he will not be giving himself more excuses when it comes to his driving.
“I’ve put in a lot of time and effort, working a lot with my engineers to get results like we’ve done this year,” he said.
“Coming into your third season, that’s the one when people are like ‘there are no excuses anymore.
“The first two you can get away with a couple of things,” he concluded.
At the moment, Lando is 10 points ahead of Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas.
