Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, or Manny Pacquiao as he is most often known, is a professional boxer and Senator of the Philippines. Because of his accomplishments and career in the sport, he is recognised as one of the great boxers of all time.

Manny Pacquiao has been ranked #10 pound-for-pound by The Ring Magazine in January 2021, despite being over 40. He has been nicknamed the Pac-Man in the boxing world.

Pacquiao is the only boxer in history to have won world titles in all eight weight divisions. Pacquiao currently holds the WBA super-welterweight belt which he won in 2019. The Boxing Writers Association of America named him fighter of the year in 2008 and 2009. He was also named the boxer of the decade (the 2000s).

Manny Pacquiao’s amateur career is unknown as he made his professional debut at the age of 16. On January 22, 1995, he fought his first professional fight, and almost four years later, he won his first title defeating Chatchai Sasakul to become WBC flyweight champion.

Pacquiao has now won titles at the super bantamweight, featherweight, Super-featherweight, lightweight, Super-lightweight, welterweight, and Super-welterweight weight classes.

His most recent title victory came after he defeated Keith Thurman for the WBA super-welterweight belt in 2019.

The Filipino is scheduled to fight Ryan Garcia in 2021.

According to BoxRec, Manny Pacquiao’s boxing record as of January 2021 is a remarkable 62-7-2. 39 of his 62 victories have been by knockout, and three of his seven loss have also been via knockout.

‘Pac-Man’ has drawn two fights with Juan Manuel Marquez and Agapito Sanchez.

His most notable battle was against fellow boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in 2015, which was labeled as the “Fight of the Century.” He has previously fought against Oscar De La Hoya, Jeff Horn, Ricky Hatton, and Adrien Broner, among others.

In 2019, Forbes reported that Manny Pacquiao’s net worth was $26 million. This included his earnings from boxing and endorsements. His boxing earnings total $24 million, with the remaining $2 million coming from his numerous interests.

According to wealthygenius.com, Manny Pacquiao’s net worth in 2021 is a stunning $375 million.

His fight against Floyd Mayweather earned him the most money he’d ever made from a boxing match. For that fight, the Filipino earned a whopping $120 million.

Endorsements

Manny Pacquiao uses gloves from Cleto Reyes gloves in of his contests. As an ambassador, he has also inked a million-dollar contract with Hewlett-Packard.

A Chinese clothing manufacturer called ANTA has also signed the Filipino. He is also an I AM WORLDWIDE brand spokesperson.
