New statistics place Max Verstappen ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the fight for title

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have currently locked horns in the fight for the title win for the 2021 season.

Currently, Hamilton has won three races while Verstappen has won two this season.

However, there is one aspect in which Verstappen is far ahead of Hamilton.

Who has led more laps?

According to a new set of statistics released by Motorsport.com, Verstappen has led 251 laps this season. On the other hand, Hamilton has led only 84 laps.

Even when it comes to the points in the driver’s standings, Verstappen has a lead over Hamilton.

The statistic proves that the Dutchman has been in the lead three times more than his rival, Hamilton.

With only six races over so far, there are still a lot more races waiting to happen.
