Leati Joseph Anoai, popularly known as Roman Reigns is a professional wrestler. He has been the face of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) since he joined the organisation in 2014.
Early life
Roman Reigns was born on May 25, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida. He is a member of the illustrious Samoan wrestlers, which includes several notable wrestlers and tag teams from various promotions. Leati’s father, Sika Anoa’i, and uncle, Afa Anoa’i, were former WWE Tag team Champions known as ‘The Wild Samoans.’ At the time, the team had a record of winning 21 championships across the pro-wrestling circuit.
Interestingly, Dwayne Johnson is a distant relative of the Anoa’i dynasty. ‘The Rock’ and Roman Reigns are non-biological cousins.
Surprisingly, Roman Reigns did not pursue wrestling from the very beginning. He used to be a professional football player, having played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars in the National Football League in 2007.
Wrestling career
Reigns made his wrestling debut in 2010. He participated in Florida Championship Wrestling. The Superstar would make his main roster debut in 2012 as a member of The Shield, one of the company’s most successful stables in its history.
Roman Reigns is a three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a two-time WWE Universal Champion, a one-time WWE United States Champion, a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion. Reigns also won the 2015 Royal Rumble and the 2014 Superstar of the Year.
With four eliminations in the 2013 Survivor Series, Reigns shares the record for the most eliminations in a Survivor Series match. Furthermore, he has headlined four WrestleManias and is one of only two wrestlers to defeat The Undertaker on the biggest stage of them all. Roman is also a WWE Grand Slam Champion.

He is one of the richest WWE stars. He owns a Lamborghini Hurricane, Toyota Frontrunner, Range Rover, and Mercedes Benz SUV.
Charity
Roman Reigns strongly supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He also donates to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which helps breast cancer patients.
Since his illness, he has also aided young children with leukaemia through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
