Stephanie McMahon is an American corporate executive and former World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler and valet.
Early life
Stephanie McMahon was born on September 24, 1976 in Hartford, Connecticut. She is a part of the world-famous McMahon wrestling family. Her father, Vince McMahon, is the WWE’s founder, chairman, and CEO.
In 1998, she graduated from Boston University with a degree in Communications.
Career
McMahon made her WWF debut in 1999 as Vince McMahon’s innocent and friendly daughter during a storyline involving Vince and The Undertaker, at the suggestion of WWF writer Vince Russo. The Undertaker stalked and abducted Stephanie at the end of the April Backlash pay-per-view before being rescued by Stone Cold Steve Austin in their first storyline.
She left the WWF for two years before returning as the general manager of Smackdown in 2002. Stephanie McMahon disappeared from WWF TV for two years after losing a match to her mother Linda McMahon.
McMahon appeared on Raw regularly in 2008 before disappearing again. By the middle of 2013, she had returned to regular on-air appearances in the WWE under the guise of a bullying owner alongside her husband, Triple H. From 2013 to 2016, the couple acted as a power couple known as ‘The Authority’.
Stephanie was named Raw brand commissioner by Vince McMahon in 2016.
McMahon’s official job titles have been Account executive and receptionist from 1998 to 2002, Director of Creative Television from 2002 to 2006, Senior Vice President of Creative Writing from 2006 to 2007, Executive Vice President of Creative Development and Operations from 2007 to 2013, and Chief Brand Officer since 2013.
