Andy Murray admits to being ‘jealous’ of Emma Raducanu

In the second round of the Vienna Open 2021, Andy Murray, the former World No. 1, was defeated by Carlos Alcaraz. He was swept in straight sets by the emerging star, who never gave him a chance to recover. The match ended with a 6-3, 6-4 final score.

Andy Murray astonished the crowd when he defeated Huber Hurkacz in the first round of the Vienna Open 2021. Despite the fact that his streak came to an end in Vienna, supporters are optimistic that he will return to the court in 2021 at the Paris Masters and Davis Cup Finals.

Andy Murray admits being jealous of Emma Raducanu

Murray admits to being a touch jealous of Emma Raducanu, the winner of the US Open 2021, in a recent interview with the Express.co.uk. He expressed his envy for the 18-year-ability old’s to speak Mandarin fluently while he is unable to do so.

“I would love to speak Spanish because I think if you speak Spanish and English it is brilliant. However, I feel like that is very achievable, but one that isn’t is Mandarin.

“I saw Emma Raducanu speaking Mandarin after she won the US Open and I was very jealous of that,” said Murray.

Raducanu has ties to China because her mother is a Chinese national. It was for this reason that, after winning the US Open 2021, she delivered some fantastic Mandarin.

“Yeah, I’d probably say Mandarin because I don’t think it is something that I would be able to learn whereas Spanish if I dedicated enough time to it, I could probably do it,” he further added.

Murray stated in the same interview that he is fluent in English and Spanish. He did say, though, that he doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to speak Mandarin because it’s so difficult to learn.

Andy Murray’s fans are wondering where he will play after the Vienna Open in 2021.
