Dominic Thiem, the Austrian tennis prodigy, has been out of play for the majority of the season after injuring his wrist right before the Wimbledon Championships.

In the case of the former US Open winner, though, there has been some good news.

Dominic Thiem has confirmed his participation at the Mubadala World Tennis Championships 2021, according to the latest news.

The tournament is held in Abu Dhabi, and seeing an Austrian player return to the Tour in this event adds to the excitement.

When it was announced that the Austrian ace would be making a comeback on the Tour, fans were ecstatic. It would be a great way for him to warm up for the Australian Open in 2022.

The event’s 13th edition will take place from the 16th to the 18th of December. Given its schedule, it’s an excellent way for players to get a head start on their Happy Slam preparations.

Other notable players competing in the tournament include Norwegian tennis player Casper Ruud and Canadian tennis sensation Denis Shapovalov.

When Dominic returns to the game, it will be interesting to watch how he performs on the tennis courts.
