Emma Raducanu, a British sensation, has become a fan-favorite at Flushing Meadows. Despite her age, she has shown supreme dominance and maturity on the court, putting in two outstanding performances in a row.

Her Greek opponent, on the other hand, has created headlines in New York with her tennis. In the quarter-finals of the competition, she upset former World No. 1 Karolina Pliskova.

Emma Raducanu reaches her first Grand Slam final

Emma Raducanu dominated Maria in the first set, putting an end to any hopes of a comeback. With a commanding start, she seized control of the game and cruised to victory in the first set. Raducanu appeared to be the favorite for the win after half an hour, with a score of 6-1.

Maria Sakkari came out strong in the second set, winning the first game easily. However, this was only short-lived relief as Raducanu’s fast-paced attack proved just too good for her on the day.

Raducanu had got the crowd grooving to her beats already in the tournament, and she did not disappoint spectators once again. She beat Sakkari in straight sets. The kid is on her way to the US Open finals with a final score of 6-1, 6-4.

Emma Raducanu becomes the first qualifier in tennis history to reach a Grand Slam Final with her resounding victory. In the finals of the 2021 US Open, she will meet fellow adolescent Leylah Fernandez.
