3-time Andy Murray, a Grand Slam champion, was unable to win the Moselle Open 2021. In the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 competition, he was defeated by Hubert Hurkacz, who went on to win the title.
The match ended with a final score of 7(7)-6(4), 6-3.

“Seeing Andy Murray and the way he speaks about his comeback and everything, it’s so motivating and it gives you a lot of energy too,” said Clijsters in the press conference, according to reports on WTA Tennis.Clijsters will compete in the Chicago Fall Classic for the first time since 2020. She mentioned that she has been putting in a lot of work in preparation for her comeback to the court.
“I’ve been practicing for a long time so I’m excited to start playing matches again. That’s the reason I’m here, to play more matches so I can slowly build my level and get more match rhythm and match routine under my belt,” added the 4-tme Grand Slam champion.
Kim Clijsters reveals how she feels about Andy Murray
Clijsters stated that she has a lot of in common with Murray. She believes that both of them have gone through difficult periods and are currently working hard to reclaim their spot in the sport.
“To see him go through the things he’s gone through and be open about the challenges of it and the belief that he has, I feel like it’s something I can relate to,” concluded the 38-year-old player.
At the WTA Chicago Fall Classic 2021, Kim Clijsters will play her first match against Hsieh Su-Wei today. Fans are eager to see her perform once more and expect her to put on a spectacular show.
