Team Europe won the Laver Cup 2021 with Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Matteo Berrettini, and Casper Ruud. It’s worth noting that this is the guys in blue’s fourth title in a row.

With a final score of 14-1, they won this year’s championship. Following that, there were wild champagne celebrations.

Despite the fact that they lost, Team World gave it their all in every match. On the court, however, they were unable to turn the tables in game-changing moments. As a result, they’ll have to wait another year to try to win the Laver Cup for the first time.

That one point came from John Isner and Denis Shapovalov’s 14-1 victory over Alexander Zverev and Matteo Berrettini. Everything else went to Team Europe.

Team Europe celebrates its victory in the Laver Cup 2021

Team Europe held a significant lead over Team World in terms of ATP World Rankings. All three days of the event were dominated by Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, Matteo Berrettini, and Casper Ruud.

They celebrated with champagne in the locker room after that. During this, Rublev cried, “I can’t see. I’m blind,” while Zverev laughed.

Rublev is also the only one drinking champagne off the Laver Cup trophy in the celebration video. While the Russian drank, Feliciano Lopez, a Spanish veteran, encouraged him on.

The Laver Cup 2021 in Boston was a huge success for Team Europe. The locker room footage was most likely only the beginning of their night of celebration. Let’s see whether they can keep up their winning streak next year.

Every year, the Laver Cup is held at a different location. The Laver Cup will be held in London in 2020.

More crucially, the event’s mastermind, Roger Federer, is planning a return to the Laver Cup in 2022. Due to a knee injury, he was unable to participate this year. Along with Federer, supporters will be hoping for Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic to return next year. It would certainly add to the excitement of the battle.
