‘Raducanu’s victory will encourage players all across the world’
Haggerty mentioned the rise of young talented players like Raducanu and Fernandez in a recent interview with cityam.com.
“I think we saw a breakthrough of new players on the women’s side that will inspire not just England and Canada but players all around the world,” he said.
Emma Raducanu was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Transylvania Open 2021 by Marta Kostyuk. Her return to the court is currently unknown, but fans will be hoping for a spectacular comeback soon.
