Rafael Nadal sympathizes with injury-prone Kei Nishikori

Kei Nishikori has suffered a lot of injuries in recent years. He has been unable to stay at the top of his game and maintain a sense of equilibrium in the rankings as a result of these ongoing challenges. Kei’s elbow and shoulder have been bothering him.

Rafael Nadal recently lent his backing to the Japanese sensation. The Spaniard has had his fair share of minor injuries.

The heights Rafa could have reached if not for continuous interruptions will always be a mystery. As a result, he could empathize with Kei Nishikori’s problems.

“Needless to say, Kei is a top-class player who has been on tour for many years. Unfortunately, repeated injuries have put a break on his success.

“Without injury, he’s definitely one of the top five players in the world, and he’s a player who constantly goes beyond the semifinals in Grand Slam,” Nadal said as reported by Number Web.

Rafael Nadal admires Kei Nishikori’s consistency

Rafa praised the Japanese star for having been a top player for so long. According to Nadal, if he hadn’t been sidelined owing to injuries, he would have won more awards in this sport.

Kei achieved his highest rating during his career when he was ranked No. 4 in the world.

Rafa was last seen on a tennis court in Washington. He did not finish the event, however, because to a foot injury that prevented him from competing to his full potential.

In order to analyze the injury, he flew back home. He has now completed his season and is looking forward to returning better in 2022.
