Vettel admits to never having seen Netflix series Drive to Survive

Aston Martin teammates Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll recently sat down for a small game.

They appeared to enjoy themselves as they answered a number of questions that had been asked by the fans.

It led to a few surprising revelations as well. Vettel revealed that he is yet to watch the Drive to Survive docu-series.

This would come as a surprise to many given the popularity of the show and the impact it has had on giving Formula 1 a more global and inclusive feel to it.

“I don’t know, because I didn’t see it,” Vettel told Stroll when he asked him about some insight on one of his comments documented in the show.

The German driver is keen to make the most of his time at Aston Martin, having been ousted by Ferrari after a 6-year spell with the team.

The 4-time world champion has not got off to the best of starts at Aston Martin, and suffered a five-position penalty after an incident during the qualifying session before the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Lance Stroll, meanwhile, had a far better outing than Vettel on the opening race-day of the 2021 season. He managed to pick up a point for his efforts.

Aston Martin has reiterated its full support towards Vettel, who is believed to have been psychologically worn down by Ferrari.

His last two seasons were especially poor for the Maranello and on his part, he has admitted that he needed a change.

It would be silly to judge Vettel on the basis of just one race, but the early signs suggest that he may have to exercise some patience before returning to his lofty standards.
