UFC Lightweight veteran Conor McGregor is gearing up to face Dustin Poirier. This fight is the final edition of the trilogy saga between the two lightweight maestros. It is one of the most anticipated fights of the year.
Apart from preparing for the fight, McGregor has been very active on social media. Recently, he took to Twitter and shared a video of one of his previous fights saying, “Watch me open up the arts and puck these peasants around. Starting July 10th.”

McGregor seems determined on finding back his form. However, he has not been the McGregor of the past as he recorded an equal win-loss ratio in his last 6 fights.
Before the recent scrap against Poirier, he secured an impressive TKO win over Donald Cerrone in the very first round. This was his first big win after his terrible loss at the hands of Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
A lot is at stake in this fight. Poirier even passed on an opportunity to fight for the lightweight gold to settle the score that stands at 1-1, once and for all.
It is one of the biggest battles of the year with a lot on the line for both the fighters. In their first meeting in UFC 178, McGregor secured a TKO win in the first round. Following this Poirier amped up his game and barely recorded 2 losses in 13 fights ahead of UFC 257.
Poirier was merciless with his leg kicks and punches and McGregor had to succumb to a 2nd-round TKO loss.
It will be interesting to see both of the fighters face each other one last time to settle the score once and for all.
