Spider-Man actor Tom Holland revealed the details of his recent dinner with Lewis Hamilton, saying he considers the driver a role model.
Those who bet on Hamilton to win the race at Yas Marina were left shocked at what had transpired there. Having led the entire race until the final lap, some late shenanigans saw him robbed of a surefire win under controversial circumstances.
The result saw the seven-time champion take a break from social media, albeit an uninformed one. He returned after two months to a rave reception from the netizens and his friends, including the Uncharted actor himself.
Holland revealed the details of his recent dinner with Hamilton, and heaped praise on his friend.
“I mean, if you look at Lewis Hamilton and his career, I just had dinner with him a couple of weeks ago,” he said, as quoted by express.co.uk.
“He’s a role model for so many people around the world. What happened to him at the end of last season and his ability to lose with so much grace against all odds, in a sport that seems so elitist.”
“He’s broken just about every record and broken every glass ceiling you can think of,” Tom continued.
“So he’s someone who impresses me a lot, and he’s making history every day, so I congratulate him.”
Coming to his acting ventures, the actor said, “For me, I have absolutely loved every minute of playing Spider-Man.
“But, if it’s time to give the next lucky kid an opportunity to do it, I would step down proudly. I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to do.”
