It’s no question that Steph Curry has proven to be phenomenal this season. Nonetheless, it seems like he’s raised the bar so high that even his longtime teammate Draymond Green is surprised at what he’s seeing.
In Warriors’ game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night, Steph Curry erupted for 41 points and led the team to a 123-104 win. This marked the ninth time Curry has score more than 40 points in a game this season.
He has also broken the record for fastest 300 3s made in a season, having only played 58 games.
Warriors star Draymond Green spoke on Curry’s performance and impact. “Anytime you step on the floor with Steph Curry, there’s an advantage there,” he said.
“So, teams are terrified of him and everywhere he runs on the floor, with or without the ball, teams are terrified. That type of gravity, he pulls a lot of weight,” Green continued.
Curry’s offensive surge this season has given the young players on his team a huge boost of confidence. Without the help of his All-Star teammate Klay Thompson, he has carried the Warriors to an 8th seed.
“I wouldn’t want to see a team with Steph Curry on it. We all know what he’s capable of. The guy can take over a game and make it hard for any team in the NBA on any given night,” Draymond Green said.
As the NBA regular season approaches its end, will the Warriors be able make their way into the play in tournament?
