“Time to show these kids how men fight”: Jan Blachowicz ready to take on Glover Teixeria at UFC 266

UFC’s Light Heavyweight title-holder Jan Blachowicz is all set to defend his title in the fight against Glover Teixeria at UFC 266. The fight is set to take place on the 4th of September this year.

UFC has officially announced the fight, with the venue yet to be finalised.

Jan Blachowicz took to his twitter handle to confirm the same.

The Polish fighter is set to defend his title for the second time now. He had earlier fought Israel Adesanya at UFC 259. The win made him the first fighter to defeat Adesanya.

Before his fight with Adesanya, he held a 4-win streak in UFC 239. In his earlier fights, he has defeated fighters like Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo Souza and Corey Anderson where he destroyed the latter in the 1st round itself.

He fought against Dominick Reyes for the title he currently holds. He managed a K.O win over his opponent.

Glover Teixeira, on the other hand, entered the battle against Blachowicz, with 5 straight wins in his hand. Seems like age has and never will be a concern for this fighter.

Teixeira began his streak with a submission win over Karl Roberson at the UFC143 Fight Night. The fighter went on to demolish Ion Cutelaba and Nikita Krylov, and Anthony Smith respectively before he took on his former contender Thiago Santos with a rear-naked choke.

The winner from UFC 266 is likely to fight Jiri Prochazka.
